Middle Grades Principal of the Year
Middle school educators play an important role in a student’s development. One of the best of these educators is Tess Johnson, principal of Eleanor Murray Fallon Middle School in Dublin USD.
Elementary Principal of the Year
Michele Pecina has delivered her “We can do this!” attitude to the principalship since 1989, most recently at Millview Elementary School in Madera USD, from which she retired this year.
Panel shares positions on algebra ruling
Hundreds of educators attended the Oct. 8 Algebra Summit to hear perspectives on the recent ruling by the State Board of Education that all eighth grade students must be tested in Algebra 1.
ACSA’s annual summit to feature spectacular networking
Excitement is building as ACSA approaches its biggest event of the year, the annual Leadership Summit, Nov. 6-8 in San Diego. Special networking opportunities will ensure members get the most out of their experience.
New program encourages principal leadership
ACSA has developed a new program to encourage educators “make the move” to the principalship. Too many see the principalship as endless rounds of meetings and non-stop problem solving. But ACSA knows the position is truly much more than that.
Position defined on credentialing
A special task force of ACSA members has developed a position paper for the association on the issue of administrative credentialing, "speaking to policy makers in a clear, coherent and unified voice."
