ACSA’s Executive team oversees the organization’s daily and strategic functions, ensuring smooth operations across all departments. They provide leadership in governance administration and facilities/operations management, support the Board of Directors, and uphold association policies and procedures to maintain an effective, well‑run organization.

Financial Services & Information technology
Vacant, Chief Financial Officer
The Financial Services team is responsible for the efficient management of the association’s finances and accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, annual audits, and detailed budgeting and reporting. IT staff facilitate all technology operations for the association, including desktop tech support, business intelligence, enterprise data, and web services management.

Governmental relations
Iván Carrillo, Sr. Director, State and Federal Governmental Relations
ACSA’s registered lobbyists advocate for members on key policy and fiscal issues affecting California’s TK–12 students. Each lobbyist specializes in specific areas and collaborates with members to shape positions on legislation. ACSA tracks hundreds of state bills each two‑year session and monitors federal policies impacting public education.

Human resources
Myra Glenn, Sr. Director, Human Resources
The Human Resources team is responsible for the association’s staff development and evaluation, recruiting, hiring, payroll management, and personnel policies and compliance. The team is also responsible for ensuring employee well-being and administering employee benefit plans.

marketing & communications
Naj Alikhan, Sr. Director, Marketing & Communications
ACSA’s Marketing & Communications team provides news and information across all media platforms, promoting the work of the association and its members. From print and online products to training and media relations, ACSA’s staff of communicators are experts in disseminating information to education leaders statewide.

member services
Margarita Cuizon-Armelino, Deputy Executive Director
ACSA’s Member Services team is responsible for supporting members by administering benefits and services as well as managing membership recruitment, data processing and customer service. They also provide professional support to members through the Member Assistance and Legal Support Team and cultivate connections with educational service providers through ACSA’s Partner4Purpose Program.

Professional learning services
Dr. Tracie Noriega, Sr. Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Professional Learning Services
ACSA’s Professional Learning programs and services are designed to support and promote professional growth and development of California school leaders. Offerings include conferences, credentialing programs, academies and ACSA’s Online Learning Center. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team leads ACSA’s efforts in advocating for equity-focused policies and practices and empowering underserved and underrepresented groups.

Member assistance & legal support team
The ACSA Member Assistance & Legal Support Team (MALST), under the direction of Member Support Program Director Joanne Godfrey, provides assistance to 750-800 members each year.

Directors of Region Operations and support staff work to ensure the smooth facilitation of region events, communications, recognition and finances. They work directly at the local level to support region leadership, charters, and members.
